In this article I’m going to share with you how to begin to believe in yourself again. To achieve anything in life, you don’t have to know for sure that it will work out okay; you just need to be willing to believe that it *could* happen.
Even more importantly, you have to be willing to believe that YOU have the potential to do and be more than you were previously. Most often, that involves simply taking a step forward toward something you really want.
Right now, take a few minutes to think about the things you’ve achieved in your life so far. They don’t have to be huge accomplishments, just something you decided to do and you went ahead and did it.
This could be going after a job, going to college, buying a house, car, getting married, starting a family etc.
Now looking over your list of accomplishments one by one, what one thing was necessary in order to accomplish these things?
A willingness to believe that you could do it!
Notice I didn’t say, doubt!
Since you were able to accomplish at least a few things in the past, do you think it’s possible that you might be able to accomplish other things too?
If you said yes, good for you! With a tiny seed of belief, you can make great things happen in your life. It all starts with the belief that you deserve to do better, and that you can do better.
Remember that a journey of a thousand miles begins with ONE STEP. Take your time and work with the techniques you have learned a little each day.
Before you know it you’ll be making progress, feeling more confident and picking up the pace a bit more.
I want to point out something important to you. Just as you chose to believe the negative comments and ideas that were put forth to you from others in the past, you can choose to put forth your own new empowering beliefs and shape your life according to them.
This includes beliefs about yourself and your potential, as well as the things that happen to you each day.
· Rather than believing you’re a failure when you do not achieve a goal you’ve set for yourself, you can choose to believe that you can succeed the second time around.
· Rather than believing your life will stay exactly as it is right now, you can choose to believe that you can improve anything and everything you want.
· Rather than believing you do not deserve to be happy and successful, you can choose to believe you DO deserve it, and go on to prove it!
I could go on and on, but you get the idea. More than anything else, I want you to understand that you have the power of CHOICE in all things.
You must choose to believe that you can do anything that you set your mind on. Matthew 19:26 tells us with God All things are possible.
So choose today to believe in yourself, your dreams, your visions, your passions, your ability to make things happen even when no one else does…besides the fact what others think about you is none of your business. If you wait on the approval of others you will never be successful in life or be happy, you have to make a choice to be happy and no that you deserve it, it is your birth right.
With every success, whether large or small, the belief in yourself will grow. That will be the push you need to keep stepping outside your comfort zone and attain the accomplishments you truly deserve.
